Veterans in Piping
The UA Veterans in Piping (VIP) Program was designed specifically to help ease the transition of active-duty military service members back into civilian life.
The program provides 18 weeks of accelerated training focusing on one of three main disciplines within the UA: fire suppression, pipefitting/welding or HVACR. VIP participants receive hands-on training and earn industry recognized certifications to develop the skills necessary for a rewarding, high-paying career in the pipe trades and mechanical contracting industry. VIP graduates have the opportunity to directly enter a 5-year apprenticeship program at one of 242 local unions across the country.
The UA VIP Program is recognized as one of the best active-duty military transition programs in the country.
