Tiffany Dzekunskas would rather be fishing. That’s not to say she doesn’t like her job, but fishing is her refuge from the world.

“I would always go with my dad fishing when I was a kid,” she says. “It’s so calming and relaxing. But if you ask me to clean a fish that’s going to be a no. I’m more of a catch and release kind of gal.”

Tiffany Dzekunskas

Tiffany grew up in Port Byron, Ill. and has lived in the Quad-City area all her life. Tiffany’s been married to her husband Brad for 21 years. Together they have two kids, Brock, 19, and Brynn, 17. She’s worked in Local 25’s benefit office since 2015.

“My favorite part of my job is resolving issues that members may have. I really enjoy helping people,” Tiffany says. “I like solving problems and I like to make things happen.”

When she’s not at work – or fishing – Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family and working on arts and crafts projects. Her love of problem solving comes into play here, too.

“If someone comes up to me and says, ‘can you do this,’ I usually say, ‘I can figure it out,’” she says.

Tiffany’s favorite food is pizza – specifically deep-dish pizza from Giordano’s. So if you’re looking to bribe her for help with an art project, there’s your in!
