Women in Construction Week Spotlight: Paige Jackley

Paige Jackley is a third year apprentice with Local 25 at Northwest Mechanical who loves the hands-on work she gets to tackle every day. But one of the challenges of being a woman in the trades isn't something many would think of first: finding affordable, well-fitting workwear, and even figuring out simple things like how to wear your hair comfortably under a hard hat (pro tip: one braid works great!).

Her advice to other women in the field? Don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself. If someone talks down to you, just remember you have more people in your corner than you think.
