Do you have what it takes?

Pipefitters assemble, install and maintain pipes to carry water, steam, compressed air, gases and fluids needed for processing, manufacturing, heating and cooling. Pipefitters work with both high and low-pressure pipes, mainly in industrial and commercial buildings.

Your 5-year apprenticeship includes:

  • 8,500 hours of on-the-job training
  • 1,300 classroom hours
  • A paycheck while you learn

Pipefitting checklist:

  • Are you a hard worker who takes pride in being on time?
  • Are you willing to work in high places and confined spaces?
  • Do you have a high school diploma or GED?
  • Are you good at math?
