Do you have what it takes?
Plumbers assemble, install and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures for water, gas, sewage and drainage systems according to specifications and codes. They also maintain sanitary facilities and install lavatories, toilets, kitchen fixtures, drinking fountains and laundry equipment.
Your 5-year apprenticeship includes:
- 8,500 hours of on-the-job training
- 1,300 classroom hours
- A paycheck while you learn
Plumbing checklist:
- Are you a hard worker who takes pride in being on time?
- Are you willing to work in high places and confined spaces?
- Do you have a high school diploma or GED?
- Are you good at math?
